Meet London based jewellery designer, Farah Qureshi, whose love of travelling takes her to interesting places to source beautiful gems and stones for her next collection. What is your background and where did you study?I have always loved drawing and painting since I was very young and later went onto study three dimensional design and metalwork at art school, specializing in jewellery design.
The #crochetjungle is an exciting collaborative textile installation being created to inspire imaginations, teach adults and children how to crochet and to raise money and awareness for both Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity and Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.
The traceability of the food we eat is well recognised as important, but what about the origin of the wool that we wear? Why shouldn’t we care as much about where our woolly jumper comes from and support the local farmers who produce it? That’s the aim of a campaign group to promote the use and versatility of wool from sheep bred on the Welsh Cambrian Mountains.
